With the release of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare", you would think we had finally put WWII down. It was time for us, as a gaming community, to step away from the great war and move on.
Well, you're wrong.
According to
Kotaku, rumor has it that Call of Duty 5 is planned to be set in WWII. More so, it's said to take place in the Pacific Theater. Am I the only one getting tired of shooting Nazis here? Shouldn't we stop making WWII games when we can't even count them on our toes and fingers? I could have sworn that I've already played a WWII game set in the Pacific....
Hopefully the new developer, Treyarch, doesn't take us down this battle worn memory lane.
Call of Duty 5 already playable?[Kotaku.com]
Honestly, I'd prefer that they stay modern or even more preferably go a step forward into the future and play make believe. I think they could do it well.
